Program 1: Songs, Meditations, and Healing from the Divine Mother
This program of music, chanting, prayer, meditation, and ritual celebrates the Divine Mother in all her forms and brings her blessings into our lives. It is an opportunity to gather to celebrate the Creation through the Music and Love of the Divine Mother.
Program 2: The Experience of Kundalini/The Mystery of Kundalini
The awakening experience is a mystery, and has little relation to cause and effect. Even if it appears to be the result of seeking or practice, the intention or “call” of practice is more important than any practice itself. As the pouring of the transcendent into life is allowed, vistas beyond our wildest imaginations are available. Through music, satsang, and meditation we will journey into the mystery that some call “kundalini,” and tap into the joy of her essence, which is her gift to us if we surrender.
Program 3: Kundalini, Archetypes, and Living the Mythic Life/Myth as a Portal to the Transcendent
Storytelling has been at the heart of the spiritual journey/experience since the origin of language. The use of stories to tap into the unconscious core of our being/ experience has been part of the prophetic tradition as well the wisdom traditions, and psychoanalysis. Stories of gods and goddesses in Hinduism and Buddhism, as well as Western traditions serve as simple teaching tools for daily living as well as portals to the transcendent and can be used to facilitate awakening and entry into the ocean of subtle knowledge. In this class we will explore the relationship of awakening and the mythic tradition through the joy of story, song, and meditations.
Program 4: American Shaman
“Shamanism” is considered the world’s oldest “religion” and existed without a name in many forms for millennia. A hallmark of shamanism is intimate communion with nature and realms of spirit. This communion can play a role in healing. Many cultures continue to be influenced by their shamanic roots—with more or less success. In their current manifestation, shamanic practices can be used in service to awakening and freedom and (and can play a role in healing), and can be part of an authentic “Tantra for the 21stCentury.” In this program Dr. Meyers will share his own personal experience of the awakening and unfolding of the “shaman,” ways of integrating and using the shamanic path, and the joys, trials, and pitfalls of the journey.
